An Autumn Vermont photo guide to road-tripping the Vermont Scenic Route 100 Byway, sponsored by Zappos.com
Sometimes, when we feel like we can have anything, we start to take the little the things for granted. Like the changing colors of the leaves or kind people with good character — it’s in a noisy, powerful world like Manhattan, that the simplicity of what’s good gets lost.
After three stressful weeks of weaving through opportunities and offers in New York City, I didn’t hesitate to pack up for a weekend in the Mountain State. Tress? Yes. Mountains? Necessary. Cheese… okay Vermont — I’m coming!
As a California girl having lived an endless summer through Los Angeles, Sydney, Rio and Barcelona, I’ve experienced a lot of change, but haven’t experienced very many seasons.
I love the changing colors of the trees. Like… emoji with big-heart-eyes… LOVE THE FALL. In a lifestyle as exciting and unconventional as mine, autumn in the North East U.S.A. is a novelty.
When my friend Kevin invited me to Vermont, I didn’t know anything about it. It was just a chance to capture October foliage. Little did I anticipate the home place to Ben and Jerry’s, wooden bridges, mills, farms and therefore — farm-to-table dining.
Here’s to small towns and maple syrup, our Vermont Road Trip in Photos:

Thanks to these outdoor boots by Blundstone, I was able to hop around the shores to get to that rock in the previous photos. I love a nice pair of heels, but
