$60 + 2.5 days + 5 destinations. Road trip.
Like I just said in “Ballin’ on a Budget,” you can afford to travel.
I hopped in a car with two people I didn’t know (we had met via Instagram) and two friends from high school, and made a nine hour overnight trek from Los Angeles/ Orange County to catch sunrise at Monument Valley, Utah.

After a quick brunch and introductions, we were off to see some long-coveted views:
2 Hours to Horseshoe Bend, Arizona
The photos don’t do it justice. Seriously, it was that “moment of awe” I’ve experienced at Halong Bay, Vietnam.
Since we would be staying in the small town of Kanab, we went back to Utah to:
2 Hours to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Utah for sunset
Yes, I got dressed to enjoy the sunset. Sorry, I’m not sorry.
The next morning, we caught sunrise at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
Before hiking to this area, there is literally a point called “Sunrise Point” at Bryce Canyon. Well played, #IgersWithoutBorders!
As most of the group was spending the night in Escantante, we went towards the town 4 hours.
Not of course, without a little road trip signature fun:
Finally, we caught sunset at the Devil’s Garden in Utah:
I’m road tripping the USA West Coast, Meet Up with Me!
Las Vegas: March 26- 29
Reno: March 29- April 1
Tahoe and Napa: April 2-6
San Francisco April 6-10
Redwood National Forest April 10-11
Crater Lake, Portland, Rowena Crest April 11 – 15
Seattle & Surrounding Washington Day Trips April 15- 18
Then I have a SURPRISE Trans-Atlantic destination… and will be back to Southern California to hit Antelope Canyon and Zion National Park… another caravan anyone?
Big thank you to the #IgersWithoutBorders Hosts Greg and Tristan for planning such a spectacular route.

Hi Marj!
Thank you for your comment. Right now, I am traveling full time. Some slow and some quick like this road trip. Thanks for sharing :)
Steph
Nice photo!
Looks awesome :) I did this as part of a x-country road trip back in Jan/Feb and loved it! Also just wrapped up a san diego to seattle road trip 2 weeks ago, it’s an absolutely gorgeous ride if you’ve never done it before. I have a slight obsession with road trips so if you’re looking for a chauffeur count me in :) As always, thanks for sharing Steph!
